Multiemployer pensions got their $86 billion bailout in the covid spending bill. But there were other bailout hopefuls who weren’t so fortunate.

Why does every article about the Delphi pension fail to mention the splinter unions that were thrown under the bus and not part of the new GM. Our pensions were backed up by the same funding the salaried employees had. The splinter unions also filed documents with the courts when Delphi filed for bankruptcy. My pension was not “topped off” by the new GM like the UAW & the IUE. 23 years with GM/Delphi and my pension is 40% of what I was entitled to. Sad and pathetic!
