Am afraid that Zeke Emanuel has it a little wrong in my opinion. If in the latest saying, “the current 60 is the new 40”, then by the same logic, the current 80 is the new 60. Personally I have already out lived Mr. Emanuel’s 75 year rule by working until I was 79 and not because I needed the money. I enjoyed the work I was doing. Ultimately I decided that 50+ years in the labor force was enough. Approxmately 2 years into volunteered retirement, I like getting up when I want to and doing what I want to do during the day — even if I don’t accomplish anything that particular day.
